Setup a secuirty password so only you can access your connection.

    Is the free tethering or does it just activate my instaled pay hot spot

    As long as you have unlimited data plan. If you do not please contact your provider and find out what your monthly limit is for tethering.

    If your provider has blocked tethering and wants activation on your hotspot.. The only other option is to root your device and download OpenGarden from the market.
